Improves Cloning Efficiency & Facilitates End-labeling
Removes phosphate groups from 5´ ends of nucleic acids to prevent self-ligation or to add label.
Simplifies PCR Cleanup
Effectively remove nucleotides and primers from PCR products prior to sequencing by combining rSAP with Exonuclease I.
Inactivates 100% at 65°C
Complete inactivation eliminates the need for purification.
rSAP is completely inactivated by brief heat treatment. Samples of rSAP were heated to 75°C or 65°C for up to 10 min, with activity measured at several time points. After just 2 min at 75°C and 5 min at 65°C, rSAP activity declined to 0%.

Another arctic species, the Atlantic Puffin, lands on the sea cliffs here and digs elaborate burrows with their bills and feet. Puffins lay only one egg per year and use the burrow to raise their chick. Although puffins look and behave similar to penguins they are completely unrelated. Besides living in two different hemispheres, the dense bones of penguins help them overcome buoyancy while the hollow bones of puffins allow them to fly at speeds up to 55 miles (88 km) an hour.
