How to Use

After allowing the molten agar-media solution to cool 60 ºC, dilute X-Gal/IPTG Ready Solution, 1000X to 1X in the molten agar-media.  Pour the media and let it solidify in the plates.  Alternatively, 2-3 drops of X-Gal/IPTG Ready Solution can be spread on a plate.

X-Gal/IPTG Ready Solution

X-gal-IPTG Ready Solution is an easy-to-use, stable solution for selection of cloning constructs in all standard lacZ systems. It offers time and material savings for both experienced and novice investigators.  X-gal-IPTG Ready Solution is sterilized by filtration through a 0.2 micron filter.  Storage at 4°C eliminates freeze-thaw cycles that reduce selection efficiency. Agar plates containing X-gal-IPTG Ready Solution are stable up to 6 months when stored protected from light at 4°C.
