Overview

Ribonuclease A (RNase A) is an endoribonuclease that efficiently hydrolyzes RNA. RNase A is used for a variety of molecular biology applications, most commonly for the hydrolysis of RNA that contaminates DNA preparations.  This enzyme is used during plasmid purification without nicking or degrading plasmid DNA.
