RiboReady™ 100b RNA Ladder provides precise sizing markers for RNA molecules resolved on denaturing or native agarose gels. The ladder consists of 8 discrete fragments from recombinant DNA templates ranging in size from 100 to 1000 bases. A higher intensity reference band is located at 500 bases. The kit is optimized for ease of use and run-to-run consistency.

RiboReady 1Kb RNA Ladder

Stable RNA Markers for precise sizing of RNA fragments on denaturing or native agarose gels.
  • 8 bands from 100-1000 bases
  • Higher intensity reference band at 500 bases
  • Supplied as a lyophilized powder for maximal stability 
  • No staining required for visualization by UV light

Each kit includes:
  • 2 tubes of RNA Ladder lyophilized powder 
  • 1 tube of 1X loading (reconstitution) buffer
  • 1 tube of 2x loading buffer
Each tube of the lyophilized RNA markers is reconstituted in 250 µl of 1X loading buffer. The 2X loading buffer is added to each RNA sample for consistency within the gel and reproducible results. Tracking dyes are included in both loading buffers to monitor the progression of electrophoresis. The loading buffers also contain ethidium bromide as an RNA stain for immediate viewing of RNA bands with a standard u.v. transilluminator after electrophoresis. Each kit provides sufficient material for 50 x 10µl loads of RNA markers.

RiboReady™ RNA Ladder reconstitution:
  1. Add 250 µl of RiboReady™ 1X loading buffer to one vial of lyophilized ladder
  2. Vortex gently to resuspend
  3. Heat 10 μl of the reconstituted RNA Ladder at 80oC for 10 minutes
  4. Incubate on ice for 1 minute
