AMRESCO Bacterial Freezing Media is a sterile, ready-to-use cryopreservation media for long-term storage of bacterial cultures. The media is supplied in a convenient storage box containing 25 single-use, 2 ml capacity vials. Vials are marked at 0.5 ml increments and provide an area for recording strain information.

Each vial contains 0.5 ml LB broth (Miller formulation) with 30% glycerol. This media is excellent for the preservation of transformed bacteria as well as nonfastidious bacteria. The viability of frozen cultures after thawing is 85%
